By the time I was 15 years old, everyone who could possibly take care of me had died, so i was forced to go from Kentucky to Minnesota to live with a father I barely knew. A month after I turned 16, I got in trouble and went to a juvenile facility.
After my sentence I was 18 years old and on the registry, but as a level one and still on juvenile probation. The only people that had access to my info were police. But I was completely alone in Minnesota, so I moved back to Kentucky. When I did that my juvie record became public record so I was labeled a child molester. So basically since I was 18 I haven’t been able to get a real job. I managed to get married and have a family, but I was never able to take care of them because no one would hire me. So now I’m 31, about to get divorced, still have nowhere to go, no one will hire me, no one will rent to me if I live alone. Apparently I’m no longer registered in Minnesota, but I don’t know how it works if I were to try to leave the state. As far as I know, I’m the only juvenile sex offender in Kentucky with a public record.
